Ok. I know that a lot of FS threads are prefaced like this, but...I never thought that I'd sell this guitar. Bought new in Feb. 2010, never gigged but taken to a few rehearsals, kept in a smoke free home.
It's the Emerald Green Allender SE model, the pre-2010 NAMM version with passives, gold hardware and rosewood fretboard. Bought new from MusicRoom, and as such comes with truss tool, whammy bar, allen key, and the padded SE gig bag. Since buying, I've upgraded to a Duncan SH-6 Distortion in the bridge and a DiMarzio Paf Pro in the neck, both of which sound huge with the mahogany/maple combo of the body. Neck/Frets are pretty well perfect, bridge has a little discolouration (it's gold...always seems to happen) but could probably be cleaned back to about 90% mint if someone knows what they're doing with gold hardware. Body/paintwork etc is a good 9.5/10, few barely noticeable pick marks on the top, no dings/dents/scratches that I can see. I've really babied this guitar, frets polished (w/planet waves cloths) and board lemon oiled every string change.
Will post pics if anyone is interested, as I say, this is a big feeler. I love this guitar, but I use my two Jacksons with ITRN, and I don't *need* three guitars. I'd sell one of the Jacksons, but I love them too, both of them were gifts and thus have some sentimental value, and also of the three, this is the one I think most likely to sell.
£400 obo is what I'm asking. It was £450 new, and obviously I've since spent money on upgrading the (fairly meh) stock pickups to the Duncan/DiMarzio combo. Additionally, the new EMG'd version is about £800, so if you want an Allender and don't love actives, this is a much better deal IMO. I can post if absolutely necessary, please PM me if you want to discuss this, I can ship it in a hard case for a little extra, although I'd very much prefer to meet in person and do this.
Located in Derby, UK, but I'm willing to drive pretty much anywhere to sort a meeting if you'd like!
iTrader on ss.org under the same name. eBay feedback as frostskadet. Dealt with a couple of people on here (namely James and E Lucevan...).
Decided to go for it, this is definitely for sale. I reckon eBay will have a free listing day just after Xmas, so you guys have first call until then! To reiterate, £400 obo with the Duncan/DiMarzio pickups.
