So, as already anounced in the NAD thread - to my deepest regrets I have to part ways with my best friend in the last years: my Diezel Herbert.
This is made in 2008, I am first owner (this was not even in the showroom of the store, this was ordered for me only and went straight from their receiving area into my car) and I have treated it better than I would treat...well, everything else actually. When not played, this has always been in the case, every rehearsal room was non-smoker...this is as good as new actually.
Here is a current pic:
I am asking for EUR 1.850,- "as is". Fitting flight case can be had for 100,-.
This comes loaded with JJ KT77 at the moment, they don't have much playing hours on them, but that doesnt say a thing at JJ tubes to be honest. I even think that one is crackling. I will also give you 2 pairs of spare EL 34 I have at home with the amp.
It says "Mk I" in the title, what's up with that? The amp is built slightly different nowadays, with 3 main differences:
1.) Output transformer. That's one of the things actually having an inpact on the sound. This one has a bigger lowend, more of a "wall of sound" - the newer ones (Mk II) are a bit more "direct" i'd say, maybe a bit more in your face...mine sounds (in A/B comparison) kinda "uglier".
2.) external BIAS points. New EU regulation, for the safety of people, the easy accessable bias test points in the back of the amp are no more on the new version. On this one, you just put your thing in the 2 holes, the pink and the brown one, and get hot. Yeah. This is real. Maybe the pink is mroe red, and the brown more kinda black. But it is still sexy time. You don't even need to get the amp out of the headshell, just unscrew the back-grid.
In step-by-step thats: one, two, three, four, and be done with it.
3.) There is a Diezel custom footswitch for the MkII, that won't work with the Mk I...but any 50,- Midi footswitch works, and can be phantom powered, so for 99,99% of you guys this will (jsut as for me) not make any difference. I love Diezel, but man, I won't pay 190,- for a 7-button-footswitch.
Location: Austria, Europe. In the middle between Vienna and the slovakian border (Bratislava). Shipment within the EU is possible - I am responsible for logistics in our company, so I can work a transport out that won't be a price killer. Let me know where you are, and I will try to get a quote asap.
References: petereanima on ebay - 100%, but only a few transactions. I have done a deal here with loktide and one with dr.mosh (or, that one was on ss.org still maybe..)
Payment: either cash on pickup, or if shipped: wire transfer in advance only, sorry. Paypal: I have no credit card, so I do not actually receive money from paypal, but can only use it to buy other things via paypal....which is usually fine, but I have some serious work to do in the house and actually need the money this time. But if this really is the last thing that stops the deal, I will work that out somehow (use my girlfriends account or whatever..)
Any questions left, don't hesitate to ask! Need more pics? Let me know, but the amp is in the rehearsal room, so it may take up to 7-10 days.
