I couldn't get past the first couple pages of WoT, and I'm glad for that now.
I used to think Terry Goodkind had Jordan's ass kicked when it came to long-running, epic fantasy novels, but everything after Faith of the Fallen has been AWFUL (and Soul of the Fire/Blood of the Fold weren't great either). I have been sitting on "Chainfire" and "Confessor" for months now because I just can't drudge up the energy to wade through them.
However, "Wizard's First Rule," "Stone of Tears," "Temple of the Winds," and "Faith of the Fallen" are all FANTASTIC books. You get to a point in them where you simply cannot stop reading for like 2-300 pages. They ruined my sleep schedule in high school
