So as some of you guys may or may not know i read a lot - I'm talking a whole lot. I probably have close to 6000 books in my house. (Ive been collecting books since 1977). I have tons of out of print stuff (some of it good some of it not so good). So moving to the new format was a bit of a jump for me.
Having that many books is beginning to be a bit much. Also since i have so many books it makes finding new stuff to read a bit hard at times. (I have turned into quite a snob I am afraid). This coupled with the ever-increasing price of books was leaving me in a bit of a predicament. Mainly how can i afford to keep buying stuff without turning my house into an episode of hoarders.
I really need to clean out my collection I have boxes full of paperbacks that have a lot of mediocre books I could part with. I also have hardbacks I could stand to lose.
I bought my first ebook today. Blueprints of the Afterlife by Ryan Boudinot. I read an excerpt for it on io9.com, then downloaded a free sample on amazon and it lead to me buying the ebook.
I'm afraid this going to lead to me buying a metric ton of ebooks now
Cheaper books with no need for storage = oh my what have I done
Welcome to the club. I love my Kindle an awful lot.
6000 books is a lot, dude.
