I don't understand? Why so soon? I mean, I would understand if it had been 20 years since the trilogy, or if this was part of the same franchise merely following on. But it's not. It's a totally new franchise, rebooted. Doesn't anyone else find it a bit odd that it's been done so soon?
Like, I get the whole "reboot" thing in film franchises, but aren't they usually done with a bit of a grace period between the original and the new? This just seems way too soon to discard the trilogy franchise and start a new one.
It's only been 4 years. That's just a blip in film-history time! Reboots just irk me, especially when they're done so quickly. I thought the trilogy was awesome, and this just comes off as a contrived attempt at making a more 'official' Spiderman franchise. It looks horribly emo and the guy playing Peter Parker just looks like an over-acting douche.
