So I just watched the supposed Spielberg masterpiece and was left kind of Meh.
First let me start by saying that I am kind of a Lincoln connoisseur for that I just love his life story....and no not because "OMG he freed the slaves" mumbo jumbo...but his life growing up with all the adversity and strife he faced that started so young. He truly started from nothing.
Anyway.....back to the movie.
I walked away with nothing from this movie. I had zero attachment to his character in this film and I felt it just draaaaaaaagged on. They focused on nothing in this movie in my eyes that made him the man that he was and had become through his struggles.
I am very disappointed actually as I have been eagerly awaiting to see this movie and it's like a slap to the face.
What did you guys think???
From a law student's perspective, it was pretty awesome, as it was pretty much just all about the passing of the 14th Amendment.
I enjoyed it.
...I'm not sure that's a particularly ringing endorsement
