    Ender's Game

It quite liked the book so I anticipated a shitty film adaption. I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, it isn't great by any definition but it was entertaining and for the most part an an honest representation of the book.

I saw it last night. I was worried it would suck, but actually they did a pretty good job. They cut out a lot of subplots from the book, but that was to be expected, considering a movie cannot encompass everything in a book. There were a few parts I thought could have been handled better, but overall I thought it was a pretty good movie and a pretty good adaptation of the novel.

How did Kingsley handle Rackham? To tell you the truth, I'm having a hard time seeing it.

I thought he did a damn good job. The whole movie was quite compressed so the Rackham character was only present in the last 20-30 minutes, but Kingsley did good in that time.

Go in with low expectations and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

I haven't read the book yet, but I really enjoyed the movie. I read a review before going in that gave it 0 out of 10 because there was too much simulated battle, too much focus on training, and not enough real action. So, I was pretty sure I was going to love it It's about time that Hollywood remembers that science fiction doesn't always mean action

Dude, you watched it without reading the book first?

Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion
