So I spent some time taking pictures of my hometown on the weekend before I left. I would like some feedback as i know that the lighting or focus isn't that great in some of them.
I also just want to hear people's thoughts of what they think of the town. I plan on taking similar pics when the snow is gone and the trees are thicker.
here we go!
grouse park, right by my house - i spent a lot of time having serious talks on those swings...
another shot of grouse park:
this is hill park - pretty much the start of downtown. at the top left you can see a baseball cage type thing... there's a park more to the left of that - i love those swings too haha. I have some memories of this place
the moutains across from the pier. they're not that big now, but they were!
the lighthouse - this is a place for serious discussion.. or parking if you think the cops wont show up (i've only had the serious talks.. so far )
the marina, sans boats:
looking upriver(?) at the pier. there's also a park here, but i didnt take a pic of it - looks boring unless its the summer anyway.
This one's for you, Darren! - Centennial rock
the ottawa river from centennial - the river hasnt fully frozen yet
By the arena, kind of close to downtown:
going up to the highway on one of the "main drags" - taken from the car while i was driving
sunset over the waste disposal field across from the deep river cemetary:
looking towards my gf's house over the highway, on the road that goes to the cemetary - next to "bicycle pete's" place lol
the other side of grouse park - yeah i was after picturesque clouds and colours, leave me alone
from the top of our ski hill:
I'd be lying if i said it wasnt funny to watch people fall off these - its happened to me more than once!
and the pumphouse benches - i took breaks here at work, and have some cellphone pics (somewhere?) of how it looks in the summer - its a great place to relax on a nice day!
the other pumphouse benches - decent for napping on lol
"'Ey uh, i'm de moon, ya" - from that british show i can't remember the name of
this is looking towards downtown/ottawa from my front porch at probably before 7am on... Friday? morning
the street that my street connects to:
and the highway, from the street you just saw (which has 3 sections to it). Go this way for ottawa, go the other way for north bay. that's highway 17, kids!:
and that's my side of town! well, half of it - i didnt take any pics of downtown or the east end. Yeah, i can say "west side" and it's legit
I hope you liked it!
Canada is a beautiful place.Thanx for the pictures man!
