Long story short, Tarantino finished the first draft of the script and gave it to six people, and someone leaked it, so he's shelving it. I think that's a bummer, because it was supposed to be an ensemble western, and he gave it to Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, and Tim Roth, which sounds like it would have been awesome.
But, he says in the article that he's shelving it and doesn't really care (he's more pissed that someone leaked it), because he says he's got "ten more where that came from". I've always read that he claims to stop making movies after he makes his tenth, because he doesn't like how the film medium is dying and doesn't want to move over to digital - I think he's being a baby, but that's just like, my opinion, man. Anyway, him saying he has ten more where that came from makes it sound like he's not planning on quitting just yet, which is good - I've really liked all his movies, and it would be a huge bummer if he stopped making movies just because theatres stopped stocking film projectors.
And as much as I like the idea of an ensemble western, he just released Django Unchained, so something different would be awesome. I'd like to see a full-on kung fu movie, or his take on a throwback horror exploitation. Or anything, really.
i'd watch nopulp fact.
