On a whim I decided to watch on episode on Nutflix last week.
I've only known James Spader from his character on The Office, Robert California. A character I absolutely LOVED. I didn't even know James Spader was his name, so when I caught the first episode of The Blacklist, I was so stoked to see the same character playing such a cool role.
There's a definite cheese element in this, the network TV show kinda thing, but I think my love of his character has made me keep going. It's almost like 24 and Fringe (minus the sci-fi), not quite as much cheese and half the amount of bad acting as 24.
I've got 3 episodes of season 2 that I'm going to bang out today, anyone else watching this show?
I binged season one because James Spader carried the shit out of it but I couldn't stop; watched the season 2 opener and then just sort of lost interest somewhere. It wasn't bad for what it was, but at the end of the day it was a procedural cop/FBI show, and those have become dime a dozen.
