So far I've read the first two and most of the third of these in the space of two weeks.
Old Man's War is pretty awesome, kind of like a less gritty Starship Troopers. Really sucks you in and introduces a fascinating setting. Clever ideas and solid writing, although it wraps up a bit cleanly and is about as non-gritty as you can get in a novel about interstellar conquest.
The Ghost Brigades was solid but not as good, and wrapped itself up a bit too "cleanly."
This third book (The Last Colony) is at 81% in, a bit of a letdown. Lots of one-dimensional politicking and too much "reveal." Might pick up in the last 20%. We'll see.
Definitely read the first one though. It's short (300 pages) and a quick read.

Don't read Zoe's Tale. It's just The Last Colony from her perspective, and it sucks. The Human Division is probably the second best book in the series
