Regardless of how insensitive or not that movie is, it looks a bit shit.
Come to think of it, how many good comedy sequels have there actually been? I'm having a hard time thinking of any. Ghostbusters 2 was entertaining but not as good as the first despite having almost the same plot. That's the best I can come up with.
Edit: Okay, Adams Family Values and Gremlins 2 were pretty sweet.
The fist trailer ticked-off Creationists for promoting Stephen Hawkins, The Big Bang Theory, formation of the stars, planets, galaxies, etc., abiogenesis and evolution, and now this? Who's next?
I really enjoyed Zoolander and now that I think of it, I think it is the only movie that I actually enjoyed Ben Stiller in. I'll totally watch Zoolander 2, but based off of the preview I am not expecting anything great.
My guess is if you're one of the people who really loved the first zoolander you'll probably really like the second. If you're someone who sat thru it and laughed a few times the second one will probably be pretty terrible for you. There are exceptions but generally comedy/horror sequels are just roided out versions of what made the first one popular.
Its hard to say how this movie is going to turn out. I have faith that Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson will make a come back.
Most underrated hollywood duo. Admit it, you love them.
