I've been playing some old SNES games again lately, and it got me thinking about just how great the SNES era of games was. Generation after generation of consoles from different companies have come and gone, but I, as well as many other people, always come back at least from time to time to the good ol' Super Famicom. Hell, one of the most popular things to do with the PS3's capability of loading another operating system into a 10GB partition of its hard drive is trying to get SNES emulators onto it. I've tried it myself, though I never got it working right. I haven't played Link to the Past in so long that I remember little enough for it to play like a new game to me, and I've been really into it the last few days. I even went into Photoshop and put the map of the dark world on top of the map of the light world and made it 50% transparent so I could quickly glance at it and find new areas to get to with the mirror without looking at any online guides.
Some of the other games in queue for playing include:
Donkey Kong Country
Final Fantasy VI
Illusion of Gaia
Mega Man X (1-3)
Secret of Evermore
Secret of Mana
Secret of Mana 2 (Seiken Densetsu 3)
Super Mario All Stars (basically SMB 1 through SM World and the original Japanese sequel to SMB1 that they call "The Lost Levels" in the States)
