    Firefox suddenly sucking?

For some reason, Firefox has started crashing on me constantly. Sometimes all I'll be doing is scrolling down the page, and it will close to desktop, and it happens about once every half hour. It also loses my saved internet settings (login info, etc.) every half hour to an hour or so, whether it crashes or not.

Anyone else seeing these problems? I've been running 3.0.14 because 3.5 is a massive resource hog, but I'm re-upgrading to 3.5.3 to see if this fixes the issue.

It's been buggy for me over the last few months or so. Using 3.0.13/3.0.14 didn't seem to remedy it, either. I run CCleaner more often, and it helps some.

Yep happening to me constantly at the moment, last night it completely froze up for half an hour and I couldn't even force quit the bastard.

Edit: I'm running 3.5.3 btw, still crash city

I'm running Firefox 3.5.3 (on Linux) without any issues. Have you verified that it is not some plugin or extension causing the crashes? Have you tried deleting your personal settings?

I've had no problems at all. I'm currently running the newest version I think.

    I'm on 3.5.3 on Win7RC x64, OS X 10.5 and 10.6, and Ubuntu 9.04 x64. All run fine for me, including quite a few add-ons.

I use Firefox only when I'm at work, as its more useful to me than IE, but I steer clear of it at home on my Macs, it just seems to like falling over at any opportunity.
