Real quick, because I have a meeting in 8 minutes...
Basically, no audio originating from the computer is currently playing. I'm using a Firepod as my primary sound driver, it's set to outputs 1 & 2, which worked yesterday. No power failures or major computer changes since then.
If I adjust the mix to include the inputs and plug a guitar in, it plays back just fine, so it's not the output on the firepod. It's powering up just fine, too - the blue light indicating it's hooked up, not the red light indicating it's not.
I've tried playing back files from Winamp (both with output set to the Firepod, and to the "primary sound driver" which is set to be the firepod), from iTunes (which I don't know how to change the output from, but should default to primary), and then the regular window sounds on my general use profile - nothing. Sampling rate on the Firepod driver is 44.1, which should be fine.
On my recording profile, I've tried winamp (same result) and reaper. If it helps, while the little bars indicating music go up and down in Winamp, the scrolling line indicating where in the project I am doesn't even move when I hit play, it just sits there.
Thoughts? I'm hoping it's a configuration issue, and not something funky with the Firepod or my firewire port...
It's waiting for you to record something before it will play anything back.
