Right, here's my issues. I have 3 cabinets in a main server room. 2 with switches and patch panels in, 1 with a server in. The server cab has a fibre panel in.
We also have 2 cabinets in a 2nd room (CGD) in the factory, both with switches in, one with fibre. Both of the mentioned fibre panels are linked with each other.
So come today, when we come to migrate a lot of users into a new office, we find the contractors haven't done their job properly. So I've cabled both switches in cabinet one in CGD to the fibre panels (we're only using one cabinet in there because the 2nd is where all the old cabling is going from the old cabinet, and we're using new ones). At the other end, the fibre then comes out, into 2 more switches, which then link to the main router and servers through ethernet cable. However, in doing this, I am getting no network connections whatsoever, and no LINK/ACT lights flashing in either of the switches.
So basically what I have is 2 switches, linked to 2 switches through fibre, and 2 of those switches linked to the main router and servers through ethernet.
So my question is, wtf is up?
Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated! Cheers!
Doesn't matter, sorted it
