Seagate's trying to keep up with the SSD performance crowd, so they've developed a control system that can manage three heads per platter on hard drives.

Should be super fast and likely cheaper than SSDs for the time being, but does anyone else think this raises the risk of mechanical failure by roughly 2^3?
