Call of Duty MW3 online fee!?

'Call of Duty' Targets a Monthly Fee -

Hopefully they get enough backlash and decide not to charge for the extra features. If not I guess Black Ops will have to stay in the disc tray that much longer.

Thank goodness we'll also have Battlefield 3, Ghost Recon : Future Soldier and heaps of other games to play instead

there's been a huge outrage about all this as well as lots of youtube videos.. Haven't played CoD since the original first 2 but I hope this doesn't go through.

At least Capcom answered players' wishes by not requiring online presence to play the extra 24 characters in the upcoming Street Fighter Online Arcade Edition.

You do realise that they are asking you to pay a fee for ADDITIONAL online content. You will not need to pay extra to play online as you usually would in any previous Call of Duty games. If you actually read the article, what they are proposing is not actually that different to DLC, except you pay a monthly fee for it.

There is no doubt that Activision/Infinity Ward are doing their best to fleece customers in the long term and are looking for ways to do so, but I think at this stage you are potentially up in arms about something that isn't actually happening.
