I've been having some issues with my droid the past few months. The phone gets hot randomly and drains my battery extremely fast. Sometimes within a few hours. If I were to root my phone and add a custom rom would I be able to fix this? The phone has no water damage, a little wear and tear on the outside from normal use but that is it. The battery is brand new, Verizon suggested that I replace it, so I did. I don't have an upgrade until Feb and my phone is out of warranty but I am tired of my phone not lasting throughout the day.
If a software bug is indeed causing those issues, then theoretically yeah, it could fix it.
Which phone do you have?
