Hopefully I'm putting this in the right area.
I have a question for all of you. I'm quite computer-dense. I know how to use our engineering/drafting software, the Internet and a few other things but not much more. I know everybody else on this forum knows more than I do about computers (well, you all probably know more about everything).
My wife is a teacher. She has two email accounts/addresses. One is strictly for school and the other is her personal account. About an hour ago I received 4 emails from "her" personal account. Her is in quotes because I know they didn't come from her - somebody has hacked into her email and is sending out spam to people she emails.
Is there a way to clean this and keep using her current email address? Is it simpler to just start a new email address similar to the one she has now, but just a little different (like adding the number 1 after her name)?
As I said, you guys (and the few women we have here) are all smarter in computers than I am, so I value your advice.

Changing her password should take care of it. Is she just accessing it through the web, or is she using a separate program like outlook to view her email?
