Hi everyone! First post outside the music-related sections ^^
I have just bought a new computer, and iMac 21,5" from 2011, and I really like it a lot However there is a problem with mac.... they don't support most games :S
I am a casual gamer who does not grind (I'm not even that fond of grindcore, so grinding is not my cup of tea :P ). However I enjoy taking a break from school or music with games. But since mac does not support most games I need to install windows on it. I did so once I had all Mac applications set up, and it worked fine. However, when I installed a game and tried to play it the game crashed. :S I quickly realized that the graphic settings was the cause if the crash. This troubles me, as this computer is barley 1 year old, and I have played that particular game on a crappy 13" MacBook from 2006, with maximum graphic settings. :S
I have no idea why this is happening :S And since I don't know more than the basic and intermediate stuff about computers I have no idea what to do :S Please help me! All help is greatly appreciated!
I have an AMD Radeon HD 6750M (512MB) graphics card, and I think that should be more than enough... But I am not a computer genius and I am not that well-read on graphic cards and computer components...
It currently has 4GB of RAM but that will soon grow into 16GB.
And please no comments on buying another PC and installing windows, cause I won't. I like mac, and I use Logic and Garageband, so there's no changing OS. I have nothing against windows, but since I prefer mac and since I just use windows for gaming (and since I do not game that much) buying another computer is not an option.
if you wont bootcamp windows you don't really have many options for gaming on a mac. There are a few mac games out, but new mac game releases are few and far between.
I would say buy an xbox or a ps3 -
