I've been thinking a lot about buying a Mac Mini in the last year, and now that I can afford one, I might actually do it. But, I need to know that it's not a waste of money. I know that there are some heavy Mac users here, so I'd like for you guys to sort of sell me on this.
I already have a fairly solid Windows 7 machine (32 bit). Right now, I use it primarily for gaming and recording. I was thinking that the Mac Mini would be only for recording. If I did this, my primary daws would be Reaper, Logic, and Reason.
So, why should I make this final? Aside from the typical "this computer is just better argument", why should I buy a Mac?
Logic is a good reason to buy a Mac alone, as it's great and only runs on Mac. Also, Pro Tools is better on Mac if you went that way. I've heard Reaper's great on both, but I don't use it so others can chime in there. I personally prefer using Mac for recording, but mostly because I'm familiar with it, so I can work smoothly without having to relearn everything.
