might be looking to pick up a midrange windows 7 laptop soon, I don't game a lot but when I do...I want it to be decent graphics wise. Doesn't have to be jaw dropping. would a 3rd gen core i5 3210m with intel hd 4000 graphics be better or would a quad core amd a10-4600m with radeon 7660g graphics be better?
Any brands to stay away from? My computer repair buddy says stay away from HP (which is what i was looking at) and look dell or asus.
Also...are beats even worth a damn? i enjoy listening to music on my laptop (i use my studio headphones for daw mixing/recording work)
Also I assume running Ubuntu shouldn't be an issue with any machine these days pretty much?
Newegg.com - ThinkPad T Series T420 (4177RVU) Notebook Intel Core i5 2450M(2.50GHz) 14" 4GB Memory DDR3 1333 320GB HDD 7200rpm DVD±R/RW Intel HD Graphics 3000
The only laptop outside of a Mac that I'd consider is a Thinkpad.
