    Your choice for hosting?

I am currently using two companies for webhosting, WPENGINE for shared hosting (expensive but stable performance for shared host). And Dreamhost for VPS.

Having a lot of issues with my VPS (no root access, high cost per ram compared to others.)

Wanted to see who you guys recommend for hosting mostly wordpress and some single html page sites?

Bluehost isnt bad for shared hosting. - some people complain their CPU processing is a bit stingy but if your scripts are optimized they work pretty well. Since you use a caching plugin for wordpress there wouldn't be much of a problem.

I have several wordpress sites with them as well and have not ran into any issues.

They use cpanel and everything is basically open.

They have excellent uptime and their support is very solid as well

My only takeaway would be their email. Since they are such a large host they get put on RBLs a lot (blanket listings for all bluehost IPs) so I would go with google mail if you use them and absolutely have to have mail always available.

I would opt for the pro package - its a bit more money but you get automated backups (files and databases, so long as your file count is under 50k), A static IP and a free ssl for an extra 19 bucks a month plus postini email filtering for 10 email address (I don't use it - spam assassin works decently enough).

Knownhost. I've been with them for years with a few different service levels. Never a problem and always quick to respond when I have a question / issue with my setup. Haven't compared rates in a long time because even if I find someone less expensive, I doubt I'd move.
