Found something buggy on my comp a couple of days ago and can't seem to get rid of it. Running XP with Service Pack 3.
Changed my desktop background, and it was a smaller picture so it went up tiled instead of fullscreen. Right-clicked the desktop and went to Display Properties to fix this. When I click on the Desktop tab , the comp freezes up for a second and then I get "End Program - Rundll32.exe." I click "End Now" and get "You have chosen to end the nonresponsive program, Run a DLL as an App." Then it closes and everything is fine.
I can click on and access the other tabs in Display Properties, but the above happens every time I click on the Desktop tab. Same thing happens if I try to go in through the Control Panel.
Googling the problem seems to indicate malware, so I did a full scan with Malwarebytes, it found a couple things and got rid of them but didn't fix the problem. No other issues with the comp at all, just this thing with the Desktop tab in Display Properties.
Any thoughts? I really appreciate any help you guys can give. Cheers.
