I was going to get it for pc during steam's autumn sale but it installs Games For Windows Live. No thanks. Then I saw it cheap at GameStop yesterday, but then saw on the box, "Internet Connection Required."
While I've been wanting to play this and City for the longest time, if this makes me have to sign up for GFWL, Origin, or needing an online connection for a single player game, then I'm not going to by it.
(Bionic Commando Rearmed II requires online connection for an SP game and I'm never buying that either.)
It's practices like these that turn keep me wanting to play a possibly good game, but the publisher does something stupid...
I have it and it doesn't seem to need an internet connection for anything other than uploading scores from the various sidegame challenges.
Its going to be up on PSN+ as one of the 12 deals of Christmas thing apparently. Annoying as I only bought it at month ago and have a 12 month + subscription. Time to go trade some shit in.
EDIT: just read that you were referring to arkham asylum. I didn't notice that needing a connection for anything other than the side challenges either
