Just ordered the parts to rebuild my 6 year old PC!!!!
The first thing I got was an EVGA 1G GTX650 Graphics card. I ordered this a few weeks ago and installed it last night into my current rig, and it made a HUGE difference.
I was running dual 9800GTs, but as flash 64bit came out, they were constantly crashing, and I kept running into issues with sites/programs needing the new flash, so I was always crashing my video cards.
I figured that the single GTX650 wouldn't be as nice as my dual SLI 9800GT setup, but I was dead wrong. For 100 bucks, this card kicks ass, and my current rig can run Skyrim at high quality, and it looks SOOO much better than the previous graphics.
Then, a few days ago, I ordered the following.
- Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz processor
- ASUS motherboard (SLI compatible)
- 8GB DDR3 1866 RAM
- Cooling upgrades
Can't wait to get this all in! It is a vast upgrade over my old processor (Quad-Core 2.8GHz or something like that), and the RAM is faster as well.
I might even get another one of the GTX650s to run SLI!
I'll post pics next week when I get it built.
Nice. I bought a 480 in like, march, that shit all over the 7800gt i used to have
