Does anyone here know anything about starting a web-based business? I have a really good idea for a web-service, and have put a lot of thought into how it would work from many different angles, and have a lot planned. It's much more than, "hey, that's a good idea." The problem is that I know absolutely nothing about starting a web business. I don't know anything about building a website, I don't know anything about the legal side of things, nothing.
How do you suggest I get started? Should I just get a presentation together to start getting capital together, so I can hire people to do the site? I really just don't know anything about the process past conceptualizing the various aspects of the business. I'm fairly positive it would be quite profitable and there are a few different ways to monetize it as well.
1.) The U.S. Small Business Administration | SBA.gov
2.) You'll need to hire developers, which can be expensive.
3.) You need to know your target audience and be able to pay for good targeted advertising.
4.) Start a relationship with a business lawyer.
