I've got an IMAP account that is ~3 gigs, and about 2500 messages. Outlook 2013 is a pain with IMAP for some reason (even though they tout the fact that they've made a significant investment in it).
There is a feature that allows it to sync back for a selected time period (3 months, 6 months, forever, etc.) but that is pretty useless if I need to go back prior to that time period.
It may be a non-issue, and I may just have to live with it, but what I'd like to do is have an offline archive folder, say something categorized by year, but immediately available and not syncing.
IMAP files in Outlook 2013 are now .ost files, so I don't think I can just do a .pst backup and pull it into an archive folder.
Any tips, tricks, or techniques that are recommended?
I don't see why chucking them in a PST wouldn't work, but then again, I have little to no experience with IMAP.
