Been dealing with Apache/SSL only in the self-cert area; the rest the web guy handled. Otherwise, I've been on the IIS side, which is really easy.
I've generated a CSR, and received back a .CER file from my certificate authority. Does anyone have a good tutorial for getting it added to Apache 2.4?
Some of the stuff I'm finding makes it look like there are three files from the CA that are required, and I'm not sure about that.
I'm on Ubuntu Server 14.04LTS, btw.
Also, need to figure out how to do a redirect from the root (/var/www) to a subfolder (/var/www/sub) when someone types in the domain, like https://mydomain.com automatically redirects to https://mydomain.com/sub.
Is that possible? I'd assume so, but would likely require a script that's pointed to from the index.html file.
This is what I have on one of my sites.
Regarding your second question...what are you trying to do? why not just have a named virtual host which has the root of /sub/ ?
I have this one one of my sites:
Code:<html> <head> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" Content="3; URL=/webmail/"> </head> <body> Redirecting to webmail.<br> <br> <br> <img src="viruz.gif"> </body> </html>
