Hey, guys, since Wednesday I've had this problem where my five-bar internet icon will get the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark. I can select it and click "disconnect" and then "reconnect" and get connected to my wifi network fine.
At first I assumed it was a problem with my internet service because on Wednesday all the internet in the apartment was affected, but right now it seems that my computer is the only one affected. I'll be able to use the internet anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes, then I'll get disconnected from the internet and get the yellow triangle of doom and the only way I can get back on the internet is by disconnecting, then reconnecting.
I called Comcast 7 times. I fucking hate Comcast so much, but they are the only option I have where I live now. They said that I can take the internet router/device to their local shop and exchange it for a new one, but I wanted to see if there was anything else I could try before I did that.
This has been driving me crazy. I've tried so many things with both the router and the computer (disconnecting everything on the router, then reconnecting everything. Changing the DNS settings on my computer. Trying troubleshooting. Resetting my ISP. Etc. etc.).
Any advice? If I can't fix this by tomorrow, I think I'll just replace the router, but the fact that my PS3, Xbox 360, phones, and my girlfriend's laptop are working fine with the wifi makes me wonder if I can fix it or not.
