Tell me what iPhone 6 case to get.

I'm not a big phone fan at all, but my ancient phone finally died and I had to suck it up and get one.

Checked out a bunch of lists, including the Outside magazine one, to see which ones were tough enough for outdoor use.

Typed each option into Amazon. Every one had bitchy reviews from god damn metrosexuals and soccer moms about how it wasn't tough enough for their "extreme" app dependent lifestyle.

Someone just tell me what is tough as fuck before I throw my monitor out the window in frustration. Waterproof not mandatory, but I am outdoors a lot. So you know, something that is good enough for kayaking/skiing/trail running.

    Wirelessly posted (Wondernuts)

Otter box have always made good stuff. My old man used one for his iPhone and he works in demolition and it protected his from damage on more than one occasion.

I have an Otterbox Commuter on mine, has survived a few falls already. I had a Defender on my old phone and that was basically indestructible.

Otterbox cases are usually a fair shout.

As everyone has already pointed out, I think otterbox is the gold standard as far as tough, durable smartphone cases are concerned.

I've had shitty experience with Otterbox stuff. Several family members have found their two-part cases to be a bit fragile and bulky.

If you don't need waterproof, I'd look at Seidio's two-part Convert cases. I have a similar case from them on my Samsung Note II (a much bigger and heavier phone) and it's survived all kinds of drops, falls, and being tossed around for about three years of hard use without any real signs of wear.
