I just "upgraded" to the 8220, and I'm not quite sure why.
- DOES NOT support sync'ing via Bluetooth, or even just simple transfer of Contacts (but my 10 yr. old S/E does).
- DOES NOT auto-update time, or even offer the option to update (but my 10 yr. old S/E does).
- Blackberry + Mac = not even close. Their SyncManager for Mac has more bugs than Crispin Glover's shorts. Thankfully, I'm a genius and figured out the problem. No- I won't post it on their support forum nor will I tell RIM's 3rd party licensee about the problem. Pay me.
I post my complaints (which to me, are FMSS issues), and get replies of "Well, it's really a business phone."
If that were true, then it wouldn't come with a f'ing camera, a bunch of games, or Facebook pre-loaded.
What's next? A phone for CEO's that comes with MySpace?
If RIM wants to keep up with Apple, S/E, Nokia and the others, they'll need to fix some simple stuff and get past their "We do email really well!" mentality.
