    I am a Mac convert

My new job gave me my choice of a Thinkpad T61 or a MacBook Pro 15. I decided to try the MacBook, and now I think I may never buy another PC again. Holy shit...

Apple announced the new Macbooks today. Those things are damn nice. Expensive, but nice. Apple - MacBook Pro

As an aside, I remember getting my Mac mini last year, and I couldn't figure out how to install applications. I've been a Linux user for years, and it never occured to me that all you had to do was *drag* them over to the application folder.

If I weren't a student (that is, if I actually had money), I would buy a Macbook Pro, no question. And I'm not even a Mac user, those things are just super sexy. However, they're really not for the budget-conscious shopper
