The older interviews on the site clarified quite a few things..

That doubleneck he had, which we were speculating about on ss.org a while back, is in fact tuned with one neck in standard and the other in fifths. Apparently he'd had it built to practice at home when he started tuning the Synthaxe FCGDAE after experimenting on a CGDAE-tuned five-string acoustic. On top of that, there're apparently a couple of tunes where he used the Synthaxe's electronic tuning system to switch between standard and fifths in the same song!

On top of that, there's lots of info about his gear over the years, particularly his three wierdo baritone guitars, so this site's a real goldmine of info for ERG fans.
