    Devin Townsend - Ki

I haven't seen a thread about this album yet, so I thought I'd start one.

So... I got this album on Wednesday, and I had heard that it was going to be a bit different than his earlier albums. Well, it is, but not in a bad way. You can still definately hear it's a Devin Townsend album.

This is definately a great album, though some of the songs take a bit of getting used to. Then again there are songs that I thought were totally awesome from the first listen, especially the song "Terminal", which is just beautiful. My favorite songs so far are "Coast", "Terminal", "Lady Hellen" and the title track. But like all Devin Townsend albums, you don't really notice all the nice details on the first listen.

    I definately recommend this album.

    That's because they're all awesome.

Listened to it again and again over the past few days, and it makes anything you do during that time totally awesome. Seriously, rather than being angry during my Ninja Gaiden session I was content with getting my ass handed.

Tried listening to it for the first time in the car and didn't like it, but listened to it on headphones while walking around Calgary and it grew on me fast.

It's a really great album. I need to listen to it again soon. Also, Devin has already been working on the next album since almost right after Ki was finished.
