The new Clutch album especially is very bluesy. Good catch on the Drive-By Truckers, Keith, I forgot about them but they're great.

Contemporary or classic?
I caugfht Drive By Truckers opening for The Hold Steady. I was pretty underwhelmed. Depending on what you mean by "bluesy rock," maybe the Hold Steady are worth a look in this context - think a slightly drugged up, punkier Bruce Springsteen: Edit - and a shitty camera phone recording of a great tune: and then another track off their newest.
