Howdy folks. I have been a fates warning fan for years and years, since i was a kid really(my old man got me into Images and Words in 92' and have loved prog ever since.). I really dug the first 3 albums with John Arch and then he fell off the map.
Looking around a while back I found that he did a 2003 release with Jim Matheos and Mike Portnoy called A Twist of Fate. I'v never heard of it, but FUCK can that guy still sing. I get chills listening to this guy, and I dont like 99% of vocalists out there. Its pretty much Maynard and early Phil Anselmo are my fav's, but damn John Arch owns. I wish so much he would have gotten the Dream Theater gig. He sounds like LaBrie, but like 10 times better.
I couldnt find any tube vids except this one of Portnoy playing at a clinic to part of one of the tracks.

I actually like Ray Alder's voice a little better, but that could be partly because my first exposure to FW was with No Exit. I'd heard of them before that but never checked them out.
Arch has a great voice, to be sure.
