    Mike's phrasing is just fantastic; he's got a lot more 'grit' in his playing than most fusion players, and his picking is just stupidly smooth.

    So many jazz guitarists are afraid to get dirty and play the blues, and Stern isn't. Heck, I wish he'd go even more nuts with it than he does.

    BTW, it's too bad this clip cuts off during Michal Urbaniak's solo--I was enjoying that, too.
