It's true, I am. I haven't been playing much at all over the last 3 years, truth be told, my relationship with my ex(while I was with her) just zapped any want to play out of me. Now, one of my favorite local bands has lost a guitarist, and I started talking with the bassist, got him a demo of 52 minutes of old material, and we're going to be jamming this week. Last few weeks I've been rebuilding my chops, calluses, etc, and it feels great. Even remember some riffs I had thought I had forgotten.
I also put together a Frankenstein guitar this weekend, a Jackson body(blue with flamed maple top, basswood) with JT580 trem and a Tone Zone in the bridge spot(I think it's a TZ, if not, well it's a Dimarzio ) and an ebay replacement neck(the whole thing was something from Nick Cormier, I bought it from him). It's fun to play, and I installed a set of recessed strap locks on it(in conjunction with the stock strap buttons, in case I forget my strap again ). I wired it up bridge pickup only, lowered the neck pickup all the way into the pup ring so I can really dig in when needed. It's great to be playing all the riffs I used to play, including some of the more complicated things I wrote that I literally wrote to challenge myself
Band's name is Warkistra, can check out a few of their tracks on their MySpace

Should be jamming with them sometime this week. I also have a new rig on the way, thanks to Lee I'm going to be running a Digitech GSP2101 and a Marshall 9100 50/50, and using a pair of Celestion G12T75 speakers which I'm going to build my own 2x12 open back cab for.
