Yeah, it's no secret that Esteban is just a character. That would be fine, except that he doesn't present Esteban as a character, and he uses it to make a cheap buck off of people who don't know any better. Fuck that guy.

I cannot tell you how many hearts I've broken telling them their Esteban guitars will never be playable. The Bering able to look in the soundhole and see out the neckjoint, the hulahoop necks, an that giant 3" splinter that lodged in my hand after falling off the bracing...

 ing only to point out that not only does he peddle poopy guitars, but he also trashes the legacy of Andres Segovia by pretending to have been one of his best students or some such. The only credit he has is a photo of himself attending a masterclass and getting an autograph, once. He only started bringing it up after Segovia died.

Eh? Segovia was a pompous ass who claimed he saved the guitar from "dirty flamenco gypsies". He was taught flamenco but later sat around taking old pieces of music and making "classical guitar" out of them which Tarrega had already doing. This is hardly a legacy.
Sure he was an amazing guitarist and Esteban licks ballsack, but Segovia was a ripoff and hypocrite in his own right. I have respect for his chops and nothing else.
