    Diego Stocco's a genus sound designer and simply the fucking man.

    His work with Spectrasonics Omnisphere, probably the most innovative synthesizer (not to mention the one to resurrect wavetable based synthesis like no other) out there, was pivotal to its unique power. They actually destroyed a piano by SETTING IT ON FIRE to sample for the VSTi! Its guys like him that give me hope that musical innovation will continue to move ahead despite perceived stagnancy abound.
