    Non-Signed Musicians That Impress You

Alright, so I thought this would make for an interesting thread:

Who are some smaller (i.e. not signed) musicians that really blow you away with their abilities/creativity/whatever that you think deserve more attention? I'm talking local bands, bands you've met on the road, guys you know, guys you found on youtube, whatever. Just can't be anyone already famous/signed, and can't be anyone on the forum

For me: Tim Parent from Ninjaspy. I know I talk about these guys a lot, but they're seriously one of my favourite bands, and they're all incredible, but Tim just blows me away with his bass playing. He's got technical skill, but he can groove like nobodies business, and has incredible feel and flow to his playing, and all while being an incredible showman and performer.

With the band (great close-up and you can hear him clearly in the mix):

Iris Divine. We play with these guys all the time, and they're freakin' awesome.

Eric Clemenzi, hands down. He's one of the few guys I've seen live where you just feel like you're in the presence of a world class talent, the sort of guy who could hold his own on the next G3.

Also, for different reasons, if Oceansize is actually unsigned, those guys. They absolutely rule.

Impact. I went to university with their drummer. Their EP is incredible. Heartily recommend it.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Drew has interesting Anthropometric characteristics going on there?

I love Tom Quayle's work. In all honesty, i've only ever seen him improv over backing tracks. But his legato is silky smooth and his overall touch, phrasing and note choices are great!
