...I'm pretty sure "pop" music hit rock bottom a while ago.
This is just the worst pile of shit I've ever seen/heard, and the idea of kids listening to this kind of makes me sick.

I mean, rock/pop music is supposed to be about sex and rebellion, but through innuendo. Half the fun was feeling like you were rebelling and the "grown-ups" wouldn't understand (until you grow up and realize that the grown ups totally understood, because they'd been there themselves ). This is just so blatant and disturbing. I mean, they're not really saying anything that over the top, but with the way it's packaged, it's fairly obviously going to find a young teenage market.
On the plus side, I suppose there will be no shortage of hookers and strippers in the coming decades.
I hate to say Gene Simmons was right about anything, but I heard a quote from him a few years back saying that all the excess and fun of 70s and 80s rock music had been taken in by hip hop and dance music when rock music went all whiney with grunge. I'm not one to pick on grunge, or whiney music for that matter but he has a point.
I'm fairly sure it can get lower...
