There's always a musician you know, and they're a talented motherfucker, but no-one appreciates it. Let's appreciate them
I'll start, my choice.
Ryan Martinie, Bassist of Mudvayne

Great choice. Martinie gets credit from musicians, but is absolutely not the star of a Mudvayne show despite likely being the most talented guy in the band.
I'm going to throw out Mark Tremonti in a similar vein. Most guitarists these days realize he's a bad motherfucker on his axe, but he took a bunch of lessons from Troy Stetina after he left Creed and has turned himself into a solo guitar force with which to be reckoned. Just dig up a good Alter Bridge video and you'll realize he not only writes killer songs and hooks but backs them up with chops and well-crafted solos.
