    Electronic music

Not sure if any one else here is really into electronic music, or at least interested in hearing some.

I have been listing to di.fm for a couple of years (mainly the phychill / progressive stations).

Its free, and I find it really helps me focus on getting tasks done (as opposed to metal where my focus is mainly following along the guitars and drums).

There is a really nifty guide online that i used to explore the different sub genres of electronic music here:

Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music | New Home on Techno.org

The one genre that really comes closest to metal (samples a lot of extreme metal) is Darkstep, there is a free radio station that allows you to legally download full songs here:

Interested to see if any one else listens to this stuff?

I listen to a lot of downtempo electronica... like you, i find it helpful for putting my brain into a state where i'm better able to focus on tasks.

I like SomaFM: Listener Supported, Commercial Free Internet Radio and in particular their Groove Salad and Secret Agent stations.

I listen to a lot of psytrance and psychill. DI has some really nice stations for when the fancy for something else hits as well.
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Wow, the layout of that site is really cool, flipping through the samples is pretty fun... On the other hand, his garbage commentary on the subgenres pretty much adds nothing to it.

EDIT: And some "futurepop" (dark ambient/industrial) stuff, some ambient, some GOA Trance, Dark Ambient and Darkwave.

Bigtime into it... Mainly trance and house.

It the late 90's, early 2000's I was pretty big in to "clubbing" and "raving" or whatever you call it.

I've kind of lost touch with a lot of the newer stuff these days, though.
