Default Ty Tabor Interview

If you're a Ty Tabor/King's X fan this is really worth the time to watch.

The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music.
Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

Without music, life would be a mistake.

Guess I know what I'm doing tonight!

"The greatest power one may possess -- in any situation -- is simply not to care what happens.

"In fact, it's the only power, all others being a semblance and mockery of it. But you must also not care about possessing the power itself. So fuck it."

The only thing I wished that they had touched on was his use of dropped tunings since it's so integral to his sound.

I knew he used a Mesa for Dogman, and I always suspected it was a Dual Rec, so it was cool to get the confirmation. That made him an early adopter, since the first Rectos only started rolling out in late '92.

It'd have been interesting to see how their main tunings have changed over the years, and how they've scaled down from having loads of tunings on each album to just a few.

Interesting that he missed out his periods using the POD and the Yamaha DG amps as well.

Very interesting interview! Almost makes me feel bad for quiting my last band, which I was in for 8 years.....almost. Thats only because I can't find competent musicians for my new project though.

PS
I've got my eye on a Lab Series L5 if I can scrape up the cash in time.

I wouldn't say they were missed.

There's a pawnshop here that has a couple of those and they've had them for years. Been tempted on many occasions.
