Well, I been on a Mr. Bungle kick lately, listening straight through Mr. Bungle, Disco Volante, and California.
They are probably still the weirdest band I've ever heard, but I've always liked their music a lot. Any fans here?

(Weirdly enough, I think this song has one of the most extreme switches out of any of their songs. I literally bust out laughing the first time I heard it)

No.1 Fan here.
First time I saw them was in 1991 or so when I tagged along with a few friends of mine who were opening from them.
We were backstage and the two dressing rooms were next to eachother with a space left in the top of the wall. This meant we could hear eachother.
So the sax player of the band I was with started a few lines to warm up and he got a response from the room next door.
Apparently Mike and co had someone there who played the trumpet and was ready for a battle. So for the next 20 minutes or so the sax player on our side and their trumpet guy exchange increasingly intricate licks untill the Bungle guy screamed F%CK YOU! and quit . Fantastic.
To be honest , the guys I was were all professional grade musicians and the band had no songs, they just played lenghty improvisations on stage so they knew how to battle.
The show itself was absolutely awesome, I had never seen a band with such outrageous costumes and freaked out songs. Itīs about time they get together and create something new.
