I saw their first show with the new (old) guitar player, and he had no problems with Broderick's parts. I vastly prefer him to Broderick, who I think is an amazing technician, but never connected with me musically.

Chris L. (the new old guy) is the guitarist who replaced Joey Tafolla, and recorded the Chain of Command album, which I highly recommend.

I agree that the new guitar player seems more musical, which is cool. However if this song is indicative of the direction of this album, I think it will be a severe letdown. IMO this is extremely weak compared to the material on Casting the Stones, and even Mechanized Warfare. I absolutely love the darker, heavier direction they were going with CTS.

I mean, how can you top this?
