The man has a way with a a sustainer like no other, and has a way of making some pretty left-field guitar noise work brilliantly in the context of fairly straight-forward pop songs that really appeals to me.
His playing on David Bowie's 'Hours...' album was especially cool.
Reeve Gabrels is a criminally underrated guitar player. He appeals to my inner geeky weirdo guitar player that wants to make noises and do things that other guitar players haven't done.
